We believe in 100% transparency. And because we indeed seek donations via the internet, along with many other avenues, we have taken the steps to Register with each of the thirty nine States (and the District of Columbia) that currently require it. Despite being the newest 501 (c) (3) serving the  Trucking  Industry, we  were the first   “Gold Level” Rated Participant at www.GuideStar.org because of our commitment to transparency, and had maintained that rating continuously through May 2016, when guidestar rated us one of their first “Platinum” participants! truckersfinalmile has been a “Platinum” rated participant each year since.

Hard Asset Donations

We accept hard asset donations, such as automobiles, trucks, trailers, deeded properties and bequests, as well as cash donations. Any item donated containing an engine, must be operational, duly titled, and registered as these items will be eventually auctioned. Any deeded land must be free of lien or other encumberance.

We have teamed up with www.charitymotors.org. They have the nationwide infrastructure to pick up your donated vehicle anywhere!! Just tell them you would like truckersfinalmile.org to receive the auction proceeds and they will handle the rest!

For hard asset items valued greater than $5,000, an independent appraisal may be required.

Bequests

Bequests  are  donations  that   are   made   through   a   will   or   a   living   trust.   You   can   donate  to truckersfinalmile.org through your estate planning by naming truckersfinalmile.org, Inc in your will for a specific amount or a percentage share in your estate. You may also choose to name truckersfinalmile.org as the beneficiary of your estate after the payment of bequests to others. The process is very simple for most bequests. A legal professional should be consulted before drafting a will.

Another way to donate is to name truckersfinalmile.org as the beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance plan. This is a low-cost option, and your premium payments may be tax- deductible. truckersfinalmile.org must be named as the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy for your gift to be tax-deductible.
